EMAKKO

🌿 Imazethapyr 10% SL

🔷 Product Description
EMAKKO is a selective systemic herbicide containing Imazethapyr 10% SL. It is specially formulated for the effective control of annual grasses, broadleaf weeds, and sedges in various pulse, oilseed, and legume crops. The soluble liquid (SL) formulation ensures easy mixing, rapid absorption, and reliable field performance.

EMAKKO is absorbed through both foliage and roots of weeds and translocated throughout the plant, providing effective post-emergence and early pre-emergence weed control. It helps reduce weed competition and supports healthy crop growth and higher productivity.

🌱 Target Weeds

  • Echinochloa spp. (Barnyard Grass)
  • Digitaria spp. (Crabgrass)
  • Dactyloctenium aegyptium (Crowfoot Grass)
  • Cyperus spp. (Sedges)
  • Amaranthus spp.
  • Trianthema portulacastrum
  • Commelina benghalensis
  • Chenopodium spp.
  • Parthenium hysterophorus
  • Other annual grasses, broadleaf weeds, and sedges

⚙️ Mode of Action

Imazethapyr belongs to the Imidazolinone group of herbicides. It inhibits the enzyme Acetolactate Synthase (ALS), which is essential for the synthesis of branched-chain amino acids. This disrupts plant growth, resulting in cessation of cell division and eventual weed death.

Time of Application

  • Apply as an early post-emergence herbicide
  • Best results are obtained when weeds are young and actively growing (2–4 leaf stage)
  • Can also be used as an early pre-emergence application in recommended crops
  • Apply when soil moisture is adequate
  • Avoid application under drought or severe crop stress conditions

Recommendation

Dosage: 300–400 ml per acre (depending on crop and weed intensity)

Water Volume: 150–200 liters per acre

Method of Application: Foliar Spray

Ensure thorough and uniform coverage of weed foliage for optimum control.
