Matin (Metribuzin 70% WP) is a selective, post-emergence herbicide used to control a wide range of annual grasses and broadleaf weeds in various crops. It is a systemic herbicide, meaning it is absorbed by the plants’ leaves and roots and distributed throughout the plant, eliminating weeds from the inside out. When applied to the soil or foliage, Metribuzin is absorbed by the roots or leaves of target weeds. It is then translocated throughout the plant, interfering with the photosynthetic process by disrupting electron transport and inhibiting the production of chlorophyll. This causes a gradual yellowing and browning of the weeds, ultimately leading to their death.
