Methoxyfenozide belongs to the Diacylhydrazine group of insecticides and acts as an insect growth regulator (IGR). It mimics the insect molting hormone (ecdysone), causing premature and incomplete molting. Affected larvae stop feeding shortly after exposure and die during the molting process.
